Due to work I found I was not using the course and it was not economically viable to maintain my membership, which I regrettably allowed to expire. I am now happy to be back in the fold, and I must say I have found the iGolf scheme perfect for my circumstances, where due to work commitments I may find that I can play once or twice a week, and can choose my tee times and take advantage of the low green fees at off peak times. On the other hand I may be out of the area for 3 or 4 weeks and still feel secure that the scheme allows me to carry forward my credits indefinitely to times when I can use them and not worry about paying fees when I am not able to use the course.

I would also like to say that there is no feeling of being a "second class" member for those on the scheme, as I have found the staff to be extremely friendly and courteous whenever I make bookings or purchases as an iGolf member.

Once again congratulations for an extremely beneficial and innovative scheme which has allowed myself and others to become members of a club when we would not otherwise have considered it.

"I would happily recommend this to anyone"

For some years now I have wanted to take up golf. However, each time I find one or more reasons that prevent me. A full golf membership is a serious financial commitment, off putting for beginners and impossible to commit to for those who have busy lives.

Recently my local club began to offer a new flexible membership called iGolf. The monthly fee is £10, little more than my subscription to the Economist. I receive virtually all the same privileges as standard members. The only difference is that I buy credits on top of my monthly subscription which can then be converted into rounds of golf. The number of credits per round varies based on the number of holes and whether or not I am playing at a peak time.

This is cheaper than paying green fees as a visitor and there are no restrictions on when I can play. Rounds are booked using the web based system and my iGolf membership will allow me to play at a number of other local courses using the credits based system and of course I will receive member specific privileges. This fits with my busy life style, allows me to improve and develop a handicap and best of all is good value for money.

I would happily recommend this to anyone considering a membership.

The iGolf membership I am sure will continue to grow. Having paid hundreds of pounds at a nearby golf club for a few games of golf it was a pleasure to switch to your scheme with its flexibility, given my time constraints. The club is proving to be a much friendlier place as well.
